IPMA Executives Meet Irish Deputy Prime Minister

Adesh Jain explained that IPMA represents 40 national project management associations and operates the world's most sophisticated project management certification system which provides a complete career path in the discipline. It has certified in excess of 50,000 professionals - 1000 of whom are in Ireland. Ed Naughton stated that IPMA's core message is that effective project management is the key driver in the achievement of productivity goals.

The Tanaiste (Deputy Prime Minister) Mary Harney said that she recognised that project management is a business skills set that applies to all sectors of the economy, public and private, profit and non-for profit. Her own area of responsibility is the Department of Health, with an annual spend of €12 billion and she greatly appreciates the need for value for the money by doing the right projects and doing the projects right.
