Michael Gaffney BE, MEngSc, Diploma in Applied Project Management, PMP^®is an IT Project Manager with the Health Information and Quality Authority and with over 20 years industry experience covering a range of industry sectors such Financial services, Manufacturing, Software Engineering, Government Services, Telecommunications and FMCG formerly worked in a variety of senior project, programme and resource management positions with Accenture, 3Com, Motorola, and Musgrave.

He has managed many large, high risk and complex projects such as ERP and BPR implementations, and those incorporating complex technologies and global teams. His particular areas of interest are portfolio management and agile development which necessitate an ability to maintain strategic focus while employing integrated project management methodologies and delivering in short timeframes. He has participated in writing examination questions for the Project Management Professional (PMP) examination, is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and is also a certified Scrum Master.
