IPMA Launches First Nation-to-Nation Forum

Adesh Jain and Ed Naughton initiated the IPMA Nation-to-Nation Forum with the approval of the IPMA board in July 2006. It provides the opportunity for governments, industry and academia to come together as a formal network to exchange knowledge, worthwhile experiences and practices in the spirit of mutual learning. The Forum is an outgrowth of the Global Project Management Forums that occurred from 1995 through 2005.
 

Institute Certifies 1000th Project Professional

The certification of project management professionals within the IPMA universally recognised four-level certification system continued its unabated growth with Jonathan Young from Microsoft EPDC becoming the 1000th registered professional in Ireland. The strong Irish interest in what is regarded by many project management experts as the world's leading certification system continues apace with the number of such professionals in Ireland expected to exceed 1300 in 2007.
 

European Commissioner Launches New IPMA Competence Baseline

Commissioner McCreevy, was formerly the Irish Finance minister and is regarded in Ireland as the "father of the Celtic Tiger". He is one of the Europe's influential politicians who realises that a new occupation - project management - is responsible for the development, maintenance and extension of a global infrastructure, and that the project is the key organisational form upon which this is based.
 

IPMA Executives Meet Irish Deputy Prime Minister

Adesh Jain explained that IPMA represents 40 national project management associations and operates the world's most sophisticated project management certification system which provides a complete career path in the discipline. It has certified in excess of 50,000 professionals - 1000 of whom are in Ireland.
